We Can Depend on the Bible
If human authors wrote the Bible without Divine
guidance, then prophecy is only human guesswork, and bound to be full
of errors. What human prophet ever won long-term credibility?
Again the words of the Biblical warning come to mind,
“When a prophet speaketh,...if the thing follow
not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken,
but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid
of him” (Deut. 18:22).
But when the Lord God of heaven speaks, we can depend
on it. It will happen, and exactly as He has said.
