Key Beliefs

We Believe:

The Bible reveals God's plan of salvation and how individuals must live to be allowed to have a part in that plan.

The principles of the Bible are given to instruct us in how God wants us to live our lives now

so that when Jesus returns, he will give us the right to live in His future, eternal Kingdom on earth.

"He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" (Mic. 6:8).

"He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray" (Prov. 10:17).

For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life" (Prov. 6:23).

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children" (Eph. 4:22-24; 5:1 NIV),

"When the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away." (1 Pet. 5:4).

"…we eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body" (Phil. 3:20-21).

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." (Matt. 7:21).

WHY We Are Serious about Our Beliefs…

We believe the Bible is true…

If the Bible is true, Jesus Christ is coming… soon,

to take over the governing of earth,

rid it of all corruption, sin, suffering and evil,

and transform it into a Paradise of delight.

If Jesus Christ is coming back soon, we must be getting ready NOW!

Getting ready for Jesus' coming means living by his law all day every day.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God….Your [God's] word is truth. …Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth" (2 Tim. 3:16; John 17:17; Isa. 25:1).

At Jesus' ascension, two angels told the disciples who were watching Jesus ascend, "This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11b). And Jesus said in His post-ascension message, the book of Revelation, which He sent by His angel to the apostle John, 'Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown" (Jesus, Rev. 3:11).

The future government of Jesus was a subject of Old Testament prophecy. Isaiah wrote, "The government shall be upon his [Christ's] shoulder…. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever" (Isa. 9:6-7).

The prophet Micah also told of the future government of Jesus, when "the Lord shall be king over all the earth" (Zech. 14:9),

and "Many nations shall come and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.' For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem…. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore" (Mic. 4:2-3).

"There shall by no means enter it [the Holy City, the eternal realm] anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life" (Rev. 21:27).

"God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

"And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, The excellency of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, 'Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.' Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water;…. A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness" (Isa. 35:1-8).

"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (Matt. 24:44). "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" (Rev. 22:12).

"Looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless" (2 Pet. 3:14). "You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, … grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Pet. 3:17-18). Jesus left these instructions: "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me" (Luke 9:23). The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy that a knowledge of "the Holy Scriptures" would make him "wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim. 3:15). "Let us therefore be diligent…, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience." (Heb. 4:11).
